Accountant

• Oversee day-to-day finance and budget operations, including accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations
• Manage and maintain accurate accounting for operating, designated, restricted, and endowment funds
• Prepare and present timely financial reports for Trustees, Commission on Finance, and Executive Council; attend meetings or brief chairs as needed
• Lead the annual budgeting process for the Diocese and selected affiliated entities
• Compile and submit annual financial reports required by The Episcopal Church
• Support preparation of grant proposals, collaborate with grantees to manage funds, track expenses, and complete required reporting
• Coordinate the annual external audit of Diocesan financial accounts
• Produce ad hoc financial reports and analysis at the request of Diocesan leadership
• Serve as the primary liaison to the Diocese’s third-party investment manager
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, auditing standards, and internal control policies
• Provide administrative support to senior staff, including mail, phone, database updates, and welcoming occasional visitors
• Assist treasurers, clergy, and lay leaders across congregations and Diocesan entities with financial guidance and support
• Collaborate with and support the part-time Chief Financial Officer, including preparation and review of reports

Senior Accountant

Operations

• Reports to President.
• Direct and manage activities of the Construction Division by implementing policies and procedures to achieve objectives.
• Align with Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) and continuous improvement.
• Lead, manage, and hold accountable all construction operations team members.
• Own execution of all construction jobs, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
• Drive profitability by managing budgets, cost controls, labor productivity, and material/equipment utilization.
• Forecast and allocate resources in collaboration with project managers, field operations manager, and fabrication shops.
• Oversee field operations and support functions by leading VDC Manager, Field Operations Manager, Senior Project Manager, Purchasing, and Sheet Metal & Piping Fabrication Shops.
• Implement and improve operational processes to increase efficiency, quality, safety, and compliance.
• Develop and grow leaders through coaching, feedback, and professional development planning.
• Collaborate with leadership including Sales/Business Development and the Leadership Team to align operational execution with company goals.
• Ensure proper employee performance management and timely reporting to HR.
• Foster and protect a respectful, harassment-free, and inclusive work environment.

Operations Manager

Controller

• Prepare, monitor, and analyze monthly and annual financial reports for the CEO and management team and communicate key trends and findings.
• Review bank, credit card, and cash reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journal entries and ensure all transactions for the period are accounted for.
• Oversee accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) processes and assist with payroll processing.
• Review significant variances and provide recommendations on areas that should be addressed.
• Ensure accurate and timely filing of federal, state, and local income tax returns and other business-related filings.
• Generate monthly reports that include A/R, A/P, and WIP.
• Develop the annual budget, provide monthly and quarterly analysis of the budget to actual, and make recommendations based on company performance.
• Work with the accounting team on the audit and assist outside accountants with preparation of annual financial statements and tax returns.
• Create and maintain financial controls and procedures for the accounting department.
• Provide financial analysis and projections to leadership to guide strategic decisions and advise the CEO on financial trends.
• Present financial information at management meetings and provide financial guidance.
• Provide mentorship to the accounting team, lead regular accounting team meetings, and conduct timely performance evaluations.
• Optimize the utilization of Great Plains systems to make accounting processes as efficient as possible.
• Reports to the CEO; manages a five-member accounting team.
