About the role

  • Learn the fundamentals of construction accounting, including budget management, forecasting, and project completion processes.
  • Gain proficiency in project management software to support daily construction operations, scheduling, and documentation.
  • Support subcontract generation, including writing scopes of work for subcontractors and vendors and handling material and equipment procurement process with submittals and approval from the design team.
  • Assist with project documentation tasks, including drafting and tracking RFIs, posting as-built drawings, and supporting the preparation of close-out documentation in accordance with contract and client requirements.
  • Assist with estimating activities, including quantity take-offs, subcontractor pricing reviews, and preparation of proposals for new projects and change orders.
  • Collaborate with the engineering design team to conduct site audits, commissioning, and report generation for scope of work recommendations for clients.
  • Conduct quality control reviews of field work and construction documents.
  • Participate in field operations by learning equipment use, understanding installation methods, and supporting project site activities through regular walkthroughs and construction progress documentation.
  • Partner with clients and the design team to resolve issues and keep construction on track.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, construction management or a related field AND 0+ years of relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • OSHA-30 certification required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically in Microsoft Project and Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong time management and attention to detail.
  • Uses basic problem-solving skills to help track and resolve project issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal and external collaboration.
  • Ability to build and develop professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to support project collaboration and execution.
  • Gains a basic understanding of Emotional Intelligence and its four domains.
  • Understands the impact EQ has on self and others.
