About the role
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing distributed team of program managers, promoting a culture of transparency, consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Build on and govern processes, tools, templates, policies, and metrics to ensure effectiveness of outputs towards outcomes, including driving adoption of the AI-DLC
- Oversee the entire portfolio, managing dependencies, and ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and long-term roadmaps
- Optimize allocation across the portfolio, balancing PMO and cross-functional capacity against strategic priorities and customer commitments. Work closely with internal and external matrixed teams
- Proactively identify portfolio-level risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement Change management and tooling: Drive organizational change initiatives related to PMO process, tooling, and data adoption, ensuring proper documentation, communication, and training for teams and stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 15+ years of progressive project/program management leadership, with at least 5 years running large-scale, complex software deployment programs
- Direct experience with AI-driven development
- Proven experience building and leading a Program or Project Management Office or a similar portfolio governance function in a high-tech environment
- Demonstrated success working in a matrix leadership environment, coordinating across multiple business units and geographies, and cultures
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority across product, engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams
- Strong team leadership, with ability to win trust, foster alignment, and mentor reports, and facilitate consistent ways of working
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills, with a strong focus on risk management and issue resolution in a highly dynamic environment
- Adaptability and resilience to handle changing priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth technology company
