About the role
- Lead the Platform Team in building a secure and resilient high-performance platform
- Take responsibility for the quality of the changes delivered by the Platform Team
- Influence, coach and line-manage Platform Team engineers
- Align your team on goals, outcomes and timelines
- Be the go-to expert for AWS, owning the platform in AWS and staying current with new features
- Create and maintain the platform using Terraform
- Use metrics and monitoring to improve platform performance, security, reliability and cost control
- Improve the quality of life of your team and the business, through automation, process improvement or new technologies
Requirements
- Line manage a team, coaching them to reach your level of expertise
- Write Terraform and configure Kubernetes
- Build a secure, resilient and reliable platform on AWS
- Architect and build a platform for data-centric applications and services in a real-world production environment
- Describe your opinions on what a good platform looks like, from networking, compute and storage to monitoring
- Talk about how you learn and improve your skills
