About the role
- - Maintain all Ledgers - General, Sales and Purchase Ledgers.
- - Responsible for timely processing of Sales invoices and debt management, including all aspects of credit control.
- - Treasury Functions including on-line banking management.
- - Full transactional postings into finance systems
- - Assist with cash flow forecasting.
- - Assist with the financial forecasting and budget process.
- - Updating customer & supplier contact details including direct debit/payment details.
- - Supporting the team in ensuring purchase requisitions/orders are approved and received in a timely manner.
- - Responsible for purchase requisition and staff expenses processing in line with company policy.
- - Responsible for maintaining Fixed Assets Register
- - Month-end routines to agreed finance timetable, balance sheet reconciliations, P/L analysis and management reporting.
- - Assist with monthly payroll processing.
- - Assist with the preparation of the monthly consolidated management accounts pack
- - Ad-hoc tasks as and when required.
- - Assist with on-going projects to improve systems, processes and controls.
- - Providing support to the Finance Director, Senior management and internal & external stakeholders.
Requirements
- - Be proactive in dealing with customers/suppliers, and build relationships with their finance contacts.
- - Collaborative individual with over 5 years of experience working within a Finance Team.
- - Have a finance degree or an active student working towards an accounting qualification.
- - Have confidence and charisma with the ability to build working relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally.
- - Must be diligent, highly organised and have excellent attention to detail.
- - An ability to cope under pressure and manage time effectively to get priority tasks done with a high level of accuracy.
- - Strong multitasking skills are a must. The role requires someone who can easily switch between tasks throughout the day as this is the nature of the role.
- - Have strong communication skills both verbally and written, and be able to approach people at all levels of authority.
- - Experience with Xero accounting system or similar is preferential.
- - Excellent Excel skills.
