About the role

  • - Maintain all Ledgers - General, Sales and Purchase Ledgers.
  • - Responsible for timely processing of Sales invoices and debt management, including all aspects of credit control.
  • - Treasury Functions including on-line banking management.
  • - Full transactional postings into finance systems
  • - Assist with cash flow forecasting.
  • - Assist with the financial forecasting and budget process.
  • - Updating customer & supplier contact details including direct debit/payment details.
  • - Supporting the team in ensuring purchase requisitions/orders are approved and received in a timely manner.
  • - Responsible for purchase requisition and staff expenses processing in line with company policy.
  • - Responsible for maintaining Fixed Assets Register
  • - Month-end routines to agreed finance timetable, balance sheet reconciliations, P/L analysis and management reporting.
  • - Assist with monthly payroll processing.
  • - Assist with the preparation of the monthly consolidated management accounts pack
  • - Ad-hoc tasks as and when required.
  • - Assist with on-going projects to improve systems, processes and controls.
  • - Providing support to the Finance Director, Senior management and internal & external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • - Be proactive in dealing with customers/suppliers, and build relationships with their finance contacts.
  • - Collaborative individual with over 5 years of experience working within a Finance Team.
  • - Have a finance degree or an active student working towards an accounting qualification.
  • - Have confidence and charisma with the ability to build working relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • - Must be diligent, highly organised and have excellent attention to detail.
  • - An ability to cope under pressure and manage time effectively to get priority tasks done with a high level of accuracy.
  • - Strong multitasking skills are a must. The role requires someone who can easily switch between tasks throughout the day as this is the nature of the role.
  • - Have strong communication skills both verbally and written, and be able to approach people at all levels of authority.
  • - Experience with Xero accounting system or similar is preferential.
  • - Excellent Excel skills.
