About the role

  • First point of contact for employees and managers on all basic HR questions in day-to-day operations (e.g., employment and collective bargaining law, compensation matters, performance and potential management)
  • Managing and supporting employees throughout the entire employee lifecycle in the assigned department — from planning and recruiting to development and exit
  • Planning and implementation of personnel measures taking into account legal, contractual, collective bargaining and staffing requirements
  • Close collaboration with the HR team across all German sites
  • Maintaining a trusting and constructive working relationship with the works council
  • Contributing to HR projects (e.g., process optimization, digitalization, employer branding) with an emphasis on operational implementation
  • Supporting cross-site HR initiatives

Requirements

  • Degree in business administration, psychology, social sciences or a comparable qualification with initial professional experience in HR
  • Basic knowledge of employment law and a fundamental understanding of works council/co-determination procedures; initial experience working with the works council is desirable
  • Strong service orientation, excellent communication skills and enjoyment in working with employees and managers in day-to-day operations
  • Careful and structured way of working combined with a solution-oriented, pragmatic approach
  • Reliability, integrity and a professional demeanor as well as strong interpersonal skills
  • Confident MS Office skills; experience with HR systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors) is a plus
  • Good written and spoken English completes your profile
