About the role
- Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries and internal team communications
- Resolve customer issues with professionalism and urgency
- Collaborate with purchasing, manufacturing, and sales to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain and update customer account information accurately
- Communicate pricing changes to customers and sales teams
- Build strong relationships with regional sales representatives
- Process orders, returns, and credit requests with precision and care.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 2 years in customer service, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency
- A proactive, independent mindset with a “can-do” attitude
- Commitment to excellence in customer interactions
- Experience working under tight deadlines
- Familiarity with ERP systems—SAP preferred; AS400, JD Edwards, or Great Plains also valued
- Knowledge of export procedures is a plus.
