About the role
- Responsibility for plant engineering and asset management, including equipment availability, maintenance strategies and KPI monitoring
- Management and optimization of maintenance processes, including coordination with external contractors and supplier management
- Participation in budget and investment planning, cost control and administrative tasks
- Leadership of technical projects (new builds, modernizations, safety and environmental measures) and support for internal and external audits
- Further development of the technical organization, SAP-PM system and digitalization initiatives
- Direct reporting line to the Plant Manager
Requirements
- Degree in engineering (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering) or equivalent qualification
- Several years of leadership experience, preferably in the chemical industry or a similar production environment
- Strong hands‑on mentality and solid knowledge of maintenance strategies, SAP‑PM, project management and budget control
- Experience with audit processes and relevant safety and environmental requirements
- Excellent communication skills, assertiveness and a team‑oriented approach
- Structured, results‑oriented working style
- Fluent German and English
