About the role

  • Serve as the subject-matter expert for the Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) of FUCHS GROUP
  • Perform the annual CCF calculation, continuously develop the calculation methodology, regularly review the CCF scope, and identify material emission sources
  • Select emission factors (global/regional/local) and the relevant databases for CCF calculations
  • Develop and document audit-proof assumptions for the emissions balance
  • Ensure CCF calculations comply with common standards, regulatory requirements and frameworks (GHG Protocol, ISO 14xxx, CSRD, SBTi, etc.)
  • Define the required metrics for emissions calculations and work closely with internal specialist functions to obtain these metrics
  • Align the Corporate Carbon Footprint with the current net-zero target pathway, globally and for the largest manufacturing subsidiaries
  • Support the implementation and configuration of software for automated CCF calculation, including data collection, visualization and KPI generation
  • Support all external emissions-related and related reporting requirements (CSRD, SBTi, etc.) and the emission sources indirectly associated with them
  • Provide methodological alignment and data to internal specialist functions for Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) calculations
  • Support external audits and advise subsidiaries
  • Participate in working groups of industry associations

Requirements

  • University degree in sustainability management, environmental sciences, chemical, process or industrial engineering, business administration with a sustainability focus, or equivalent qualification
  • Strong affinity for data-driven work, analysis and visualization to translate complex data into clear reports and actionable recommendations
  • Experience in Corporate Carbon Footprint accounting/reporting in industrial companies or comparable experience in consulting firms
  • Practical experience implementing and using relevant software solutions, ideally Microsoft Sustainability Manager
  • Strong analytical skills and an independent, proactive working style
  • Ability to proactively identify technical developments, regulatory and normative trends, systematically analyze them and derive clear, actionable recommendations
  • Excellent communication and networking skills in an international environment; experience in networked/matrix organizations desirable
  • Very good German and English language skills, written and spoken
  • Willingness to travel internationally (occasional)
