About the role
- Performing electrical power, lighting, and/or low voltage system engineering tasks for electrical construction projects
- Conducting field surveys and studying diagram and other data to identify and correct power system problems
- Preparing and studying technical drawings, and electrical specifications to ensure compliance with standards and customer requirements
- Planning layout of electrical construction projects
- Inspecting completed installations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications
- Compiling data and writing reports regarding existing and potential engineering studies and projects
- Providing guidance to ensure that construction activities comply with specifications, codes, and customer requirements
- Participating in customer/project interviews
- Providing training for other technical personnel in areas of expertise.
- Proactively providing guidance to Level’s 1 and 2 Engineers and Designers as project-specific tasks are executed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering
- 5 years of progressive electrical engineering related experience or Associate Degree in Electrical Technology
- 9 years of progressive electrical engineering related experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- AutoCAD/Revit knowledge is required
- Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC).
