Backend Engineer

• Build the MCP Server in Python using FastMCP
• Implement the connection to SAP ECC using PyRFC and the SAP NetWeaver RFC SDK
• Develop functions that expose SAP BAPIs as MCP tools (e.g., purchase order queries, price history, stock movements)
• Implement error handling and structured formatting of return data
• Configure connection security — environment variables, HTTPS, authentication
• Perform connection testing and validation using real SAP environment data
• Collaborate with Friend's SAP functional specialist to define which data to expose
