• Leading a team of Technical Specialists
• Managing the alerts from locomotives fitted with RCM equipment
• Ensuring timely intervention to prevent ‘in service’ locomotive failures
• Developing and implementing a Condition Based Maintenance policy
• Analysing the RCM data to enhance the reliability, safety and availability of the company’s diesel locomotive fleet
• Work alongside Freightliners RCM partner (Instrumentel) to continually enhance the RCM capability across the Class 66 locomotive fleet
• Support in technical investigations
• Create and develop a ‘reliability targeted’ IPE plan to support emerging trends

Operations

• Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will lead a team of Managers who are responsible for maintaining and improving the competence of drivers.
• Contribute to the achievement of day-to-day UK rail operations.
• Responsible for the development and provision of a suitably trained, equipped and assessed rail operations team, in order to meet on-going business requirements.
• The role requires an on-call commitment.
• Act on any locally identified trends/hot spots within your areas of responsibility e.g. SPADs/ absenteeism/ etc. and influence resolution accordingly;
