• Lead safety across the team, contractors, and others
• Develop and own track maintenance engineering standards
• Carry out annual Level 3 track maintenance assessments and compile investment reports
• Provide technical advice to the track maintenance team on inspection issues
• Support internal stakeholders in completing track maintenance to schedule and standards
• Produce site reports detailing required repairs, timescales, and investment
• Own the track maintenance budget and report monthly on P&L
• Provide on-call technical advice and protect Freightliner’s interests during main-line incidents
• Take the Silver Command role for T&RS when required
• Lead track technical investigations
• Perform other track-related duties
