About the role
- Responsible for assisting with conducting regular surveys and validations of the Autonomous Operation Zone (AOZ)
- Assist in identifying truck behaviors that require maintenance or optimization
- Interact with the Autonomous Haulage System (AHS) for manual interventions
- Assist with the prioritization of tasks to meet shift objectives
- Complete and validate shift reports, handovers, and documenting follow-up issues
- Assist with daily pit inspections, validating mine model changes
- Optimize system configuration for AMT performance
- Recover and intervene with trucks, investigating AMT stoppages
- Document and enter data accurately, monitoring operations and truck performance
- Ensure truck availability in the correct mode
- Ensure prompt communication with affected parties about modified plans or decisions
- Promote safe and collaborative working relationships
- Provide necessary information to team members and contractors
- Coordinate activities with other departments, internal and external
- Comply with all company policies, regulations, and procedures
- Report autonomous related incidents as soon as practicable
- Participate in safety meetings, investigations and safety programs
- Perform other duties as requested.
Requirements
- Two (2) years of related operational experience in a mining environment
- Must have completed academic and practical competencies required
- Experience demonstrating the required aptitude
- Ability to apply knowledge and skills while passing a written assessment
- Proficient in computer operation and application
- Action oriented
- Approachable and displays active listening skills
- Customer focused
- Organizational and priority setting - able to make complex decisions
- Negotiation skills – ability to achieve target outcomes
- Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures in English.
