Direct claims activity with Third-Party Administrator (TPA), overseeing investigations, documentation, coverage, liability, and damages for bodily injury, property damage, and liability claims.
Evaluate medical reports, police records, and other evidence to determine claim outcomes; negotiate settlements within authority limits and collaborate with defense counsel in litigation.
Ensure compliance with state and federal insurance regulations affecting fleet operations.
Lead the self-insurance program: manage claim acceptance/rejection, exclusions, addenda, and partner insurance terms.
Collaborate with CFO to track financial exposure, reserves, and manage premium allocation.
Define and enforce SLAs with TPAs, vendors, and partners; monitor compliance with partner obligations and customer Terms & Conditions.
Build scalable processes and tech-enabled workflows to support fleet growth and new lines of business.
Act as main insurance liaison for strategic partners and support partner onboarding with risk frameworks and claims procedures.
Leverage claims and fleet data to build dashboards on claims frequency, severity, and loss ratios; identify trends and fraud risks and drive product/process improvements.
Collaborate with Product and Tech to integrate analytics, automation, and AI tools into claims workflows.
Requirements
Successful track record in claims handling (bodily injury, property damage, liability).
Strong US insurance law and regulatory expertise.
Experience with self-insurance, captive programs, fleet insurance, and program management in high-volume environments.
Litigation experience and ability to manage partner obligations and compliance.
Excellent analytical, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Valid driver’s license required.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree (business, insurance, or related).
Preferred: Experience in SaaS/mobility/fleet tech and BI/data analytics.
