About the role
- Lead the development and execution of a global benefits strategy that supports attraction, retention, and employee well-being across regions.
- Evaluate, design, and expand benefit offerings (e.g., healthcare, well-being, lifestyle benefits) with both short- and long-term impact.
- Balance innovation with financial stewardship, ensuring benefits programs are sustainable and aligned with firm priorities.
- Leverage utilization data, benchmarking, and market trends to continuously refine benefit offerings.
- Own global vendor strategy across benefits providers, administrators, and brokers.
- Lead stewardship meetings, performance reviews, and service issue resolution.
- Drive accountability through SLAs, KPIs, governance frameworks, and escalation protocols.
- Partner with Procurement and Finance to negotiate contracts, review SOWs, and manage renewals.
- Ensure strong governance across benefits administration, compliance, and documentation.
- Oversee benefits-related audits (e.g., 401(k)), ERISA compliance, ACA, COBRA, and Secure Act 2.0 initiatives.
- Maintain and continuously enhance benefits cost tracking, financial analytics, and invoice reconciliation processes.
- Partner with HRIS teams to optimize Workday Benefits configuration, integrations, and user experience.
- Provide oversight of global benefits renewals and regional programs (U.S., Canada, APAC, EMEA, LATAM).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in Global Benefits, Total Rewards, or HR leadership roles.
- Deep expertise in U.S. benefits (health & welfare, retirement, ERISA, compliance) with strong exposure to global benefits programs.
- Proven experience managing complex vendor ecosystems and broker relationships.
- Strong financial acumen, including benefits budgeting, cost modeling, and invoice reconciliation.
- Experience with Workday Benefits and HRIS-driven benefits administration.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, resource constraints, and organizational change.
- Strong executive presence, influencing skills, and stakeholder management capabilities.
