About the role
- Establish and maintain relationships with political agencies, campaign media buyers, PACs, and advocacy groups.
- Lead and implement political campaigns on national, state, and local levels through both broadcast and digital platforms, ensuring that revenue goals are achieved.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure seamless campaign execution.
- Utilize proficient skills in both linear and digital negotiations.
- Analyze political ad spending trends to provide market insights and identify high-value markets for ad placements.
- Maintain a deep understanding of FCC regulations, public file reporting, and internal policies.
- Provide concise reporting, including weekly pending/posting, and quarterly forecasting.
Requirements
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple accounts and negotiating high-stakes deals.
- Demonstrate strong creative, organizational, planning, and prospecting skills.
- Have an in-depth knowledge of television ratings and research, especially concerning Nielsen and ComScore.
- A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in broadcast television and digital platform political sales, with experience in selling OTT platforms highly preferred.
