About the role
- Overseeing the day-to-day financial functions and strategy of the organization
- Ensuring overall financial health
- Prepare financial reports and maintain accounting records
- Manage budgets, review quarterly and annual budgets, and help set company budgets
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including tax compliance issues
- Provide comprehensive financial updates to Leadership
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines
- Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions
- Help develop and support short- and long-term operational strategies
- Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures
- Establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on biweekly, monthly, and annual basis
- Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all departments
- Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows
- Hire, train, evaluate, develop accounting team
- Maintain confidentiality and adheres to facility policies and procedures, State & Federal law, and accrediting agency regulations and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance preferred.
- Five or more years of hands-on accounting managerial experience.
- CPA license, CMA title, or CFA title preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, banking processes and financial data analysis.
- Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting.
- Experience in managing payroll, with focus on streamlining accounting processes.
- Exemplary history of financial project management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong relationship building skills.

- Results driven with a proven track-record of meeting and exceeding defined goals.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, as well as accounting software.
- Valid, non-restricted Colorado driver's license.
