About the role
- The HR Generalist is essential to our continued growth with a focus on ensuring timely performance reviews, compensation changes, and accurate employee information across all systems.
- Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate employee performance management processes within the HR Information System (HRIS).
- Distribute performance reviews to managers, assist managers and employees on the processes, and track receipt of completed forms.
- Coordinate employee compensation changes within the HRIS.
- Distribute compensation changes to managers per the budget.
- Ensure compensation changes are reviewed and approved prior to each payroll processing date.
- Update employee information (transfers, terminations, branch information, etc.) in all systems, including the HRIS and intranet.
- Reconcile payroll and General Ledger accounts monthly.
- Enter new hires into HRIS, ensuring accuracy.
- Assist Benefits Specialist with benefits administration, reconciliation, employee benefits communications, and flu shot clinics.
- Plan and execute annual Founders Gives campaigns.
- Work closely with internal and external partners for campaign planning and reporting.
- Assist with timekeeping system questions and review timecards for payroll processing and FMLA tracking.
- Assist with leaves of absence, including FMLA leaves, and ADA accommodations for employees to ensure thorough employee communication and compliance.
- Assist with the verification and maintenance of I-9 documentation in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
- Assist with all employee functions (retirement celebrations, 25-Year Club Banquet, etc.).
- Comply with Founders’ policies and procedures, as well applicable laws, regulations, and statutes issued by federal agencies such as NCUA and FFIEC, including, but not limited to, GLB and BSA.
- Employees have legal and regulatory obligations to respect and protect the privacy of information and its integrity and confidentiality.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent Human Resources experience is required.
- At least two years of experience in a Human Resource function.
- Certification in Human Resources (i.e., PHR, SHRM-CP) is preferred.
- Extreme professionalism and tact in handling confidential information and addressing employee concerns.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Ability to adhere to and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate employee information.
- Excellent communicator (oral and written) including the desire to ask questions and learn from coworkers as well as ability to provide clear concise explanations of policies and benefits.
- Strong administrative and data management skills.
- Well-developed team skills, unquestioned integrity, and the experience, confidence, and presence to effectively manage interpersonal relationships and sensitive HR issues.
- Demonstrated experience utilizing MS Office products.
- Ability to travel to our branch and office locations, as needed.
- Candidate must be available Monday - Thursday 8 am - 5pm; Friday 8 am - 6pm.
