About the role
- Provide functional leadership and people management for Electrical Engineering and FPGA Engineering teams, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development
- Build, develop, and retain a high-performing engineering organization with strong technical depth and engagement
- Set clear expectations and align engineering teams to business priorities, project commitments, and quality objectives
- Partner with program management and cross-functional leaders to ensure effective execution of new product development and sustainment efforts
- Drive consistent adoption of engineering best practices, design standards, and continuous improvement across teams
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous learning
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering field is required
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in hardware product development for high-technology products, including analog, digital, and/or FPGA-based designs
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience managing or leading a professional engineering workforce
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a collaborative, matrixed, and cross-functional environment
- Solid understanding of hardware development lifecycles, design verification, and product release processes
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute across multiple projects in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
- Proven experience identifying technical and organizational risks and driving mitigation plans
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
