About the role
- Design and development of new products utilizing PSEMC APD process.
- Customer interface to support B&P, technical reviews, innovation, and relationships.
- Data package generation, prototype buildup, and verification/qualification of products.
- Assist in resolving issues with current production programs through active participation on production team reviews, failure analysis and technical meetings.
- Ability to analyze situations and breakdown into smaller functions.
- Create critical paths and delegate to appropriate staff.
- Drive execution and process discipline ensuring delivery of team objectives by monitoring and managing budgeted engineering hours.
- Lead the development team to follow best engineering practices, company procedures and processes.
- Ability to have the drive and initiative to see jobs through and drive task-oriented behavior in the team.
- Conduct daily management and communicates performance results across the organization as required. Implements visual daily management to drive proactive avoidance of schedule degradation. Actively participate in and promote the kaizen philosophy of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- BS in Engineering, MS in Engineering would be a plus.
- 5-10 years Engineering / Technical program experience or related managerial experience desired.
- Possesses and maintains strong analytical skills and ability to direct and coordinate work activities of other engineering staff.
- Extensive experience with electronics packaging, technical drawings, project schedules, budgets, and technical presentations.
- Experience with new product development and failure investigations would be a plus.
- Allegro and OrCAD knowledge would be a plus. Understanding of electronics packaging structural analysis would be a plus.
- Understanding of Reliability Predictions, DFMEA/FMECA, electronics stress analysis, and strong working knowledge of govt. system safety standards a plus.
- Knowledge of related products' architecture and competitive products.
- Demonstrated engineering acumen, excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Maintains the highest professional standards, preserving a team environment and promoting all stakeholder and the company goals.
