About the role
- People Leadership: Conduct regular 1:1s, provide constructive feedback, and manage Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for developers.
- Agile Management: Lead ceremonies (Daily, Planning, Review, Retrospective) and ensure smooth workflow (Kanban, Scrum), optimizing metrics such as Lead Time and Cycle Time.
- Removing Impediments: Proactively resolve conflicts and bottlenecks that impact team productivity and well-being.
- Stakeholder Interface: Translate product and business needs into technical priorities, ensuring visibility of delivery progress to the executive team.
- Process Management: Define and improve internal development processes, ensuring the team follows quality standards without compromising agility.
- Attraction and Retention: Actively participate in recruitment and onboarding of new talent.
- Culture and Climate: Foster a culture of psychological safety, innovation, and commitment to deadlines and quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading software development teams.
- Strong command of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and management tools (GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps, or similar).
- Solid knowledge of flow and team performance metrics (DORA metrics, etc.).
- Technical understanding of software architecture, APIs, and cloud (sufficient to support decisions without the need to code).
- Excellent communication, conflict mediation, and negotiation skills.
- Experience in career management and performance evaluation in technology.
- Analytical mindset for data- and metrics-driven decision making.
