About the role
- Design, implement, and continuously evolve the Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM) and Enterprise Architecture practice including architecture governance, KPIs, committee structures, and regular reporting to technology leadership.
- Define and maintain enterprise-wide architecture principles, guidelines, and standards , covering business, application, data, and infrastructure layers.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior management and technology leadership on architectural, digital, and technology strategy decisions.
- Develop and maintain a future-oriented enterprise architecture roadmap , aligned with FSC’s corporate and IT strategy.
- Translate strategic business requirements into cost-effective, scalable, and standardized architectural patterns to reduce fragmentation, and drive automation, self-service and re-usability.
- Own and validate architecture blueprints (business, application, data, and technology), including EAM tools, modeling, integration and data services standards, and best practices.
- Monitor market and emerging technology trends, proactively identifying opportunities and potential partners to evolve FSC’s platforms, tools, and development approaches.
- Assess architectural maturity and technical debt across the organization and independently propose improvement as well as ground breaking initiatives.
- Ensure architectural compliance and alignment across internal product design, engineering and analytics teams and external technology service providers and solution providers.
- Represent the architecture function in cross-functional working groups and steering committees.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, or a comparable field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong expertise in Enterprise Architecture Management , including common frameworks, modern data architecture principles, and methodologies (e.g. TOGAF; certification highly desirable).
- Curiosity and a holistic understanding of business, application, data, and infrastructure architecture.
- The ability to simplify complexity and communicate architectural concepts and their rationale clearly to diverse stakeholder groups.
- Proven experience leading or contributing to complex IT initiatives, ideally in agile or scaled-agile environments (e.g. SAFe, LeSS, Scrum@Scale).
- 8+ years of experience as an Enterprise Architect, including 4+ years in architecture or technical leadership roles (e.g., Chief Architect or similar).
- Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills, paired with strong leadership and communication capabilities.
- A proactive, independent, and structured way of working in complex organizational environments.
