About the role

  • Improve Battery pack Test process
  • Investigate and implement new technologies for battery and pack testing
  • Develop standard software for battery pack end of line electrical tester
  • Develop standard software for Battery pack leak tester.
  • Implement standardized engineered solutions for manufacturing Test equipment, prioritizing ergonomics, safety, productivity, and process conformity.
  • Drive investment efficiency process with Product Development (PD) and Joint Venture (JV) Partner
  • Incorporate continuous improvements using ME Continuous Improvement/Lessons Learned, Deviation and Decision Record Processes
  • Participate in peer reviews, sharing and cascading lessons learned.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production/Test processes and improve product quality.
  • Monitor and analyze production/Test data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • Five years of experience in Battery Test Engineering
  • Application/Programming experience in Lab view and NI test stand expertise is required
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Data driven mindset and decision-making process.
  • Application experience in computers and electronics
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to learn product function
  • Manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to a dynamic working environment and diverse team
  • Comfortable with high travel demand - domestic and international
  • Ability to travel (up to 50%) outside of Midwestern region during Installation, Commissioning and Launch phase of project
