About the role
- Refine existing platform system requirements as needed to provide diagnostic and configuration capabilities to new content within the existing ADAS system.
- As part of the development process, follow new and modified requirements through validation, working closely with implementing and testing teams to ensure the requirements are met.
- For new vehicle programs utilizing an existing ADAS system, review validation results for acceptance and investigate any variations in performance from previous vehicles with that system.
- Process performance deviations where acceptable.
- Lead cross-functional efforts to root-cause diagnostic performance concerns identified during pre-production build phases and post-production.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
- Alternatively, employer will accept 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.
- Education and/or experience with each of the following skills is required:
- 1. Utilizing industry-standard Model Based System Engineering tools to understand and develop the design of a system’s architecture.
- 2. Defining requirements dictating performance of an ADAS system, component or feature.
- 3. Performing failure mode analysis/FMEA on an ADAS system, component or feature.
- 4. Developing or signing off test plans to validate a system, component, or feature’s performance to defined requirements.
- 5. Analyzing vehicle or sensor data to identify system inefficiencies.
- 6. Root-causing ADAS performance issues during various phases of a system launch, including SIL, HIL or vehicle level testing.
- 7. Optimizing system design through changes to hardware or decision-making logic to achieve improved performance to specifications.
