About the role
- Must be process oriented with strong analytical skills and a high degree of business acumen with a strong ability to learn operational and strategic business issues.
- The Cost Engineer/Cost Analyst for this position must have experience in more than one of the following:
- BIW Stamping and sheet metal products
- Assembly integration and optimization
- All forms of metal casting: Ferrous, AL, Mg
- Extrusions
- Machining
- Roll forming
- Plating and coatings
- Metallurgist
- Experience using Estimating Software to develop should cost estimates such as FACTON, ARRORI, SIEMANS.
- Ability to construct and analyze manufacturing costs of components by reviewing drawings, engineering specifications, and functional requirements.
- Demonstrate a proven grasp of business concepts as well as quantitative and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to assess cost benefit analysis of different supplier manufacturing methods.
- Ability to maintain data integrity and accuracy and use data to identify and solve problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical achievements; or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
- 10+ years of business and/or engineering, or an undergraduate degree in Technical Schools with 5+ years of Automotive manufacturing experience
- Proficiency in lean manufacturing
- Proficiency in data analysis
