About the role

  • Manage and author generic engineering core documents with absolute focus on delivery of robust design templates and failure mode avoidance by applying engineering disciplines including DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, SCCAF, PDP and RQT specifications
  • Champion and develop global design standards and solutions
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to program engineers at the pre-launch, validation, and launch phases of their program
  • Benchmark best practices and processes (internal and external) to maximize product effectiveness.
  • Support current model program teams to drive quality improvements by performing root cause analysis, identifying solutions and prevent recurrence
  • Champion projects to develop and integrate new technologies into Ford’s cockpit of the future.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related degree.
  • 4+ years of headliner experience including design, development, and production phases
  • 2+ years of experience in the use of Design Tools (3DX/CATIA/Teamcenter/Digital Buck/GD&T/RSS Studies/DFMEA).
