About the role

  • Manage team of 7-10 engineers, delivering C-car sized programs with primary FWD architectures, as well as the C2 platform Battery Electric Vehicles. Each will have unique launch dates for multiple assembly plants globally.
  • Key technical hardware oversight of the Driveline system, including close interface with the calibration, Transmission, NVH, and chassis organizations.
  • Close interface with our supply base engineering teams on key program deliverables.
  • Responsible for program delivery of Quality, Cost, Weight, Function and Timing (QCWFT). From Underbody Virtual series through OKTB.
  • Act as the primary interface between the vehicle program/platform and your functional team.
  • Support prototype builds at the supply base for your components and vehicle prototypes.
  • Manage resolution of all Driveline program issues.
  • You will interact with the vehicle program team, located in multiple regions in North America, Europe and China.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience with Driveline systems and components experience and knowledge. Other Underbody commodity experience will be considered.
  • 4+ years of experience with plant, manufacturing, launch experience, tooling knowledge, experience in all phases of product development.
  • Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred).
  • 6+ years of experience with Driveline systems and components experience and knowledge (preferred).
  • Experience with GPDS and other Ford engineering tools (TeamCenter, WERS, FEDE, etc.) (preferred).
  • Experience in a leadership capacity leading and guiding others (preferred).
  • One Ford Behavior, ability to work cross-functionally and build team consensus (preferred).
  • Superior written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills (preferred).
