About the role
- Implement commodity-specific business plans to ensure your suppliers exceed all corporate launch, quality, capacity, warranty metrics, and vehicle delivery
- Lead cross-functional decisions with Ford & Supplier leadership to drive resolution of open issues
- Implement actions to ensure zero vehicle losses from suppliers
- Principal for on-site troubleshooting and corrective actions for emergency supplier situations
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science/ Engineering, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Be proficient in English, both written and oral, when working with global teams
- Knowledge of manufacturing process(es) of the responsible component commodities of engine and castings
- Commodity experience in Steering and Automated/Manual Assembly Processes
- Ability to develop and present materials to leadership on short notice
- Ability to lead resolution of manufacturing, quality, and/or capacity issues on-site with suppliers
- Ability to travel in the US, Canada, and Mexico approximately 75-80% of the time.
- Knowledge of Problem-Solving tools and Quality Systems (ex. IATF) and Quality tools
