About the role
- Design and release engineers assume a major role in the product development organization.
- Responsible for developing systems and components for multiple programs and delivering them with quality.
- Charged with meeting and exceeding internal and external customer expectations.
- Direct impact on vehicle attributes (ride, handling, and NVH).
- Engage with multiple cross functional teams (Body, CSE, Veh Eng, VO, Foundation).
- Perform management reviews both at the functional and program levels.
Requirements
- BS in Engineering or a related field
- 6+ months of engineering experience including internships and coursework.
- CAD experience
- 2+ years of experience in design and release (even better if you have it).
- Experience in suspension preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated experience of effective supplier management, launch, and global program delivery.
- Demonstrated ability for technical understanding and leadership.
- Hands on experience with CAD, release processes, sourcing processes, creating test requests, documenting evidence in support of requirements and design rules
