About the role
- Lead vehicle development, integration, and launch activities for Ford Racing production programs.
- Direct VE team deliverables to remove barriers and enable focused engineering execution.
- Deliver all engineering gateways and milestones on time with quality.
- Drive continuous improvement in Design Validation efficiency and execution discipline.
- Own vehicle-level attribute delivery, ensuring balanced performance across all systems.
- Translate customer insights into clear vehicle requirements and cascade them into objective system-level targets.
- Lead cross-functional integration across design, hardware, software, energy management, and features teams.
- Drive technical tradeoff decisions to protect total vehicle performance and preserve intended “wow” moments.
- Confirm that system deviations and updates continue to meet vehicle-level targets through production and variants.
- Ensure vehicles are “Fit for Test” with clear hardware/software maturity tracking.
- Lead race track and/or off-road durability testing with full accountability for safety, logistics, cost, and execution quality.
- Maintain FEDE accuracy and test plan integrity while enabling efficient, value-focused testing.
- Oversee media vehicle preparation and execution to ensure flawless external performance.
- Oversee attribute documentation, maturity tracking, and program transparency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Min 8-10 years of vehicle-level automotive product development experience across multiple attributes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in solving complex technical problems while building strong working relationships.
- Proven delivery of full automotive product development cycles (concept through launch).
- Strong understanding of performance vehicle customers, including passion points, pain points, and expectations.
- Broad knowledge of primary automotive systems and vehicle attribute delivery experience.
- Experience with software development processes, over-the-air updates, and feature delivery.
- Working knowledge of customer insight tools and processes.
- Strong facilitation, interpersonal, and team leadership skills.
- High level of self-motivation, initiative, and accountability.
- Passion for performance vehicles a plus.
