About the role
- Playing a central role in developing capabilities for the early detection of previously unknown quality issues.
- Spearheading the development of business cases and action plans for addressing top-priority and emerging quality concerns.
- Acting as a crucial link between Engineering, Quality, and Service Engineering operations.
- Working closely with data scientists to extract, summarize, and analyze data from diverse sources to pinpoint trending quality issues.
- Collaborating with both internal and external partners to conduct detailed analyses of vehicle conditions, ultimately determining the root cause, scope, and impact of identified problems.
- Utilizing statistical analysis, data mining techniques, and visualization tools to uncover patterns and anomalies within the data.
- Implementing and managing "Field Intelligence" and "Command Center" frameworks to proactively triage at-risk repairs and prevent breaches of Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track emerging issues.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering, automotive, statistics, or a related field.
- Overall knowledge of vehicle systems & operations.
- A strong understanding of diagnostics and repair procedures.
- Exceptional problem-solving ability.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate across different areas of the company.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills to regularly convey project status and results.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong project management skills, including the capability to organize and manage numerous projects simultaneously from their inception and feasibility stages through to implementation.
- Knowledge of quality management principles and practices.
- Previous automotive and/or quality analysis experience (preferred).
- Proficiency in the use of established problem-solving tools such as Six Sigma, 8D, and 5 Why (preferred).
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to be self-directed in a high-volume, fast-paced environment (preferred).
- 5+ years of working experience in the automotive industry (preferred).
