Serve as site health and safety subject matter expert developing solutions for hazard control, safety systems, compliance, and risk mitigation
Support Senior Director and Director of Occupational Safety in requests, reports, and applications
Lead and participate in implementation of the Company’s Safety Operating System (SOS), SOI, emergency response planning, safety training, and plant-wide safety processes
Participate in facility visits to verify corporate processes are functioning as designed and support health and safety coaching visits
Collaborate with global/regional safety teams on enterprise technology modernization, dashboard development, and application enhancements (SOS, SOI, SKI, OHSIM, GDIA, etc.)
Interface with UAW, Corporate Medical, OGC, and Labor Affairs on health and safety questions and initiatives
Manage the OHS SharePoint site including updates and development of a modernized site
Lead safety communications including posting to Blue Oval Now and oversight of global safety standards and standard owners
Act as safety standard owner for FAS08 – 010; 040; 085; 100; 102; 115; 121 and all related content
Support/lead development, distribution, and tracking of Safety Alerts and corrective actions with global/regional safety leads
Support Governance, Risk, Compliance control testing and processes and assist in management of the annual President’s Health and Safety Awards
Interface with global Training and Development teams as needed
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree (preferred) in Occupational Health and safety, Safety/Health Sciences, or any other related discipline
Minimum 1 year of occupational safety work experience with a Master’s degree or 2 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree
Proficiency with OHSIM application, PLAID, GERT reporting, MSS, Data Analytic Module (DAM) reports, SharePoint
Familiarity with SOS, SOI, SKI, SSI, GSET applications and dashboards, GDIA dashboards
Experience with Governance, Risk, Compliance systems and control testing process
Ability to lift more than 10 to 25 pounds frequently; frequent walking or standing and some sedentary work; may involve exposure to varying outside temperatures
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
