About the role

  • Deliver externally sourced new tooled parts for major vehicle and powertrain programs
  • Identify all the New Tooled End Items for the program including Multi-Party Agreements and directed tier 2 suppliers
  • Develop program specific NTEI file containing pertinent part number information and maintain program information in the eAPQP system
  • Obtain site codes for each NTEI from Program Purchasing to initiate eAPQP Schedule A submission requests
  • Train suppliers and cross functional team members on Supplier Engagement Process and APQP/PPAP Readiness Assessment
  • Track PPAP and Schedule A status and submission requirements to the Site STA Organization and Supply Base
  • Prepare standard documents for Milestone Reviews, Special Attention Reviews and New Model Launch Assessment
  • Drive resolution of all YELLOW/RED deliverables with cross functional team members
  • Manage and review Phased PPAP status and timing plans to deliver on time Phase PPAP approvals
  • Arrange cross functional meetings to drive PPAP issues resolution and manage action plans to assure on time PSW approvals
  • Monitor, manage and escalate significant issues inhibiting Supplier PPAP/launch risks
  • Support various startup and launch meetings and represent supplier advocate in Cross-Functional Meetings
  • Lead Priority supplier selection and Supplier Champion Process supplier selection and manage GPDS priority supplier evaluations
  • Participate in change control meetings and collaborate with leaders and managers to understand program related changes
  • Support NMP Part Pedigree meetings and develop Parts Pedigree Risk and Industrialization Readiness Assessment
  • Drive on-time PPAP completion and provide onsite STA Launch support for Build events
  • Drive resolution of supplier quality issues raised through AIMS and lead containment, 8D follow up, ICA/PCA activity

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science/Engineering or academic equivalent
  • Knowledge of STA quality tools and systems
  • Knowledge of new model launch tools and systems
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (preferred)
  • Manufacturing, maintenance, and quality operations experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge in manufacturing, powertrain commodity preferred (Powertrain engines, transmission and axles)
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
