About the role
- Contribute to the end-to-end software integration and delivery of the audio subsystem within Ford's infotainment system.
- Work in concert with audio subject matter experts across multidisciplinary development teams.
- Involved in media playback, AM/FM/HD/DAB and SiriusXM audio tuners, chimes & alerts, voice recognition, handsfree telephony, Active Noise Control, propulsion sound enhancement and pedestrian sounders.
- Problem solving including reviewing CAN, A2B and other network logs.
- Daily software defect meetings for exterior supplied ECUs.
- Maintain a prioritized JIRA backlog of all defects, implementation stories, and change requests for use in sprint planning.
- Support program meetings as required with Design & Release or Applications engineers.
- Stay up to date on audio technologies and automotive audio trends.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- 5+ years of experience with automotive radio and infotainment software system design
- Experience delivering radio/infotainment features using agile scrum methodology.
- Experience in CAN log analysis and system level troubleshooting
- Master’s Degree Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field (even better)
- Knowledge of A2B digital audio bus operation and log analysis (even better)
- Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills (even better)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment. (even better)
- Willingness to travel as needed to train and support model engineering teams (even better).
