About the role
- Architect and configure the bedrock of SDV Platform systems
- Develop requirements for platform that is across all vehicle onboard modules.
- Architect platform hardware agnostic solution that works for uC and uP modules working with OS ( Hard and Soft time).
- Benchmark industry solutions for middleware.
- Configure BSW and AUTOSAR Classic / adaptive ( Compliant / compatible/open source alternatives) components (SOVD, watchdog, NVM ) to ensure safety, security, stability, reliability, and performance.
- Architect common services for cross domain applications.
- Architect platform to be configurable across multi variant vehicles.
- Master debugging and problem‑solving
- Troubleshoot low‑level processor resets and software issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
- Optimize performance through platform design
- Strategically distribute runnables across processor cores to maximize efficiency.
- Integrate diverse software components
- Integrate custom device drivers and partner‑built platform software into the platform.
- Analyze and troubleshoot vehicle/powertrain behavior
- Determine root causes, validate corrective actions, and develop preventative measures.
Requirements
- B.S. in EE/ME/CS or related field or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- 5 years testing/debugging automotive embedded systems, generating an RTE
- 5 years Embedded C experience
- 1+ year Python, Rust scripting
- 2 years modeling, simulation, and testing
- 2 years AUTOSAR Classic/Adaptive / Open Source Alternatives BSW config or BSW/CDD development
- 2+ years with compilers, makefiles, SW build, CI automation
- M.S. in EE/ME/CS or related field (even better)
- Experience distributing tasks & measuring CPU load in multicore architectures (even better)
- Ability to train team on MacSec configuration (even better)
- MacSec/Ethernet industry experience (even better)
- Configure, test, debug MacSec components (even better)
- Familiarity with Agile/SAFe (even better)
- Experience working cross‑functionally (even better)
- Prior knowledge of building SDV platform for vehicles (even better)
- Experience with Config as a code (even better)
