About the role
- Lead the development and integration of Functional Safety work products on vehicle program applications for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features like BlueCruise and Pro-Trailer Hitch Assist
- Develop and maintain Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments (HARA), Functional Safety Concepts (FSC), and Technical Safety Concepts (TSC).
- Produce safety analysis (DFMEA, FTA, DFA, per ISO 26262)
- Support the planning of Safety Verification & Validation activities at different levels of system abstraction
- Support the creation of test cases (DVP), their execution and evaluation of the results
- Contribute to the safety audits and assessments
- Collaborate cross-functionally with systems, hardware, software, and V&V stakeholders to deliver a safe product with a comprehensive safety case
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems, Computer Engineering or related degree; or foreign equivalency degree, or a combination of equivalent experience and education.
- 5 years of experience in Functional Safety
- 5 years of experience products in mass production
- 2 years of experience with Model Based Systems Engineering

- Master’s Degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems, Computer Engineering or related degree; or foreign equivalency degree, or a combination of equivalent experience and education.
- 10 years of experience in Functional Safety
- 5+ years of experience with automotive product development
- 2+ years of experience with SysML / MagicDraw
- 2+ years of experience with the development of automotive sensors (e.g., cameras, radars) and ECUs
- 2+ years of experience developing and conducting laboratory and vehicle tests, gathering and analyzing data
