About the role
- Aggregate and manage all requests for supplier tariff coverage, balancing the appropriate mix of cash payments and offset credits.
- Ensure the strategic balance between supplier payment expediency and financial accuracy to ensure Ford pays the appropriate amounts.
- Lead the recovery of supplier payments via offset credit retroactive recovery initiatives.
- Manage the end-to-end (E2E) contract cycle related to tariffs, ensuring all commercial agreements are executed and maintained.
- Proactively identify components requiring tariff coverage in new programs and work with PD and Procurement to align on the financial and contractual strategy.
- Primary point of contact between Supply Chain, PD, Finance, Operations, and Programs Teams regarding tariff coverage and contract status.
- Effectively lead communications on project status, issues, and key risks to senior management and cross-functional partners, fostering collaborative relationships.
- Lead business case discussions and reviews for component resourcing and tariff mitigation impacts.
- Drive process improvements in the tariff request and recovery workflow to enhance efficiency, transparency, and financial compliance across the enterprise.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree discipline in Project Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of project management experience in cross-functional, and matrixed organizations (e.g. PMO, strategy & business operations, management consulting, corporate strategy, Supply Chain Function)
- Proficiency using PowerPoint to create presentations that can be tailored to different audiences
- Proficiency using Excel to create data analysis to inform storytelling (e.g., pivot tables, lookups)
- Experience using Project Management tools and software (e.g. Smartsheet, Jira, Microsoft Project)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Supplier Related Tariff Experience
- Even better, you may have...
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, operations, or related fields
- Customer-centric mindset / prior experience in product management
- Knowledge of Power BI, Alteryx, Ariba, SAP, helpful but not required
- Master’s degree in business administration, supply chain, engineering, or related field
