About the role
- Integrated Fresh Eyes Reviews (FER): Lead and participate in audits for all major build phases (prototype through production). Perform Line Walks and plant process reviews to verify the correct installation and performance of ADAS Hardware, Software, Features, and Systems.
- System-Level Plant Audits: Review End-of-Line (EOL) processes and vehicle configurations. Perform frequent spot audits on the plant floor to ensure that hardware-software interfaces are functioning as intended and that prior system issues have been resolved.
- Cross-Functional Technical Support: Partner with PMT Leaders, Systems Engineers, Feature/Software Engineers, and D&R Engineers to resolve complex design and integration issues identified during reviews.
- Quality & Risk Documentation: Audit FMAs and Control Plans for all ADAS components. Ensure that failure modes related to hardware, software, and system-level interactions are addressed, and that proper linkages and reaction plans are in place.
- Issue Management: Facilitate the recording and tracking of Class 1 and Class 2 issues identified during plant reviews. Drive the development and closure of the Prevent Action Closure (PAC) process for ADAS systems.
- Continuous Improvement: Update foundation documents and GPDS templates with Global Lessons Learned, incorporating recent data from campaigns and "stop ships" to improve ADAS system robustness.
- On-Site Representation: Represent ADAS in FER Exit Meetings with the Global Campaign Prevention Specialist, Program Teams, and Plant leadership, providing technical expertise on system-level risks.
- Milestone Preparation: Prepare technical evidence and documentation required for Chief Attestations at major gateways, including FDJ, FEC, and MP1.
