About the role
- Single point of contact within ASO for PAC process support, coordination, and improvements.
- Facilitate PAC reviews with ASO leadership.
- Coaching of ASO Vehicle Safety and Compliance Integration teams and cross-functional PAC teams on the PAC process per FAP03-171.
- Ensure inclusion of comprehensive systemic and institutional prevent actions within PAC papers to eliminate the opportunity for the recurrence of escape points.
- Escalate escape point trends to the appropriate quality lead or root cause owner and track the associated institutional prevent actions to resolution.
- Track PAC paper status and timing using the PAC Summary Dashboard.
- Connect ASO Vehicle Safety and Compliance Integration Leads with the appropriate PAC teams assigned to each concern for upstream cross-functional collaboration.
- Conduct 1-year PAC health checks to ensure prevent actions documented in completed PAC papers are still in use and are effective 1 year following PAC closure.
- Collaborate with PAC leads across the company to support process improvement initiatives.
- Interface with ASO SMEs to update compliance and due care inspections within the Fresh Eyes Review checklist.
- Support inquiries regarding in-plant compliance inspections contained within VOPQUG-234 Mandatory Compliance Inspection Report and Audit for Self-Certified (FMVSS CMVSS) Homologated Vehicles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Experience in Automotive Safety, Product Development (PD), Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Quality, and/or Manufacturing.
- Experience with 3L5W, G8D and PAC papers.
- FEDE experience with requirements: classification, assessment and evidence.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong basis of understanding of Ford’s processes (technology development, product development, design validation and verification, and vehicle operations).
- Positive problem-solving attitude and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to collaborate and connect cross-functionally to implement transformative process improvements.
- Strong communication and cross-functional networking skills.
- Strong decision-making skills and resolve to raise issues to the right people at the right time.
- Global understanding of Ford’s processes and products for technical read-across.
- Familiarity with DFMEA’s and severity ratings, including the new rating tables.
- Ability to critically evaluate data to make key decisions.
- Strong desire to improve safety and drive safety culture throughout Ford.
- Desire to get hands on during fresh eyes reviews (FERs).
