About the role
- Design and develop Autosar-based embedded software components.
- Design and develop low-level IoHw drivers for micro-controller-based products.
- Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify low-level drivers using high-level languages including C, Python and assembly code.
- Contribute to product success through consistent on-time delivery of high-quality, functioning complex device driver code.
- Scale, modify and re-factor existing software components to meet new architecture requirements.
- Work with Ford architecture and validation teams, tool vendors, and AUTOSAR basic software partners to create reusable software components, supporting documentation, and integration guides.
- Perform code-level integration-related tasks such as replicating build environments, source code debugging, and continuously improving and streamlining deployments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
- 3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Design and implement application software components and complex device drivers for AUTOSAR-based architecture. 2. Development using the C programming language for real-time embedded systems.
- 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Derive software requirements from system-level requirements for embedded systems. 2. Debug and verify embedded ECU level software using debuggers (GHS Multi, Renesas E2, or Lauterbach) and the following network tools: Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, or Canape on HW benches.
- 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Work on software development in Agile environment or V-Model environment depending on project scope and compliance requirements. 2. Write code in Python to test software, analyze test data, or automate testing. 3. Utilize configuration management tools including GitHub or Gitlab to store and manage the code written during software development.
