About the role
- Develops the platform system architecture and requirements to provide diagnostic and configuration capabilities to all features within the system.
- Work with hardware, software and model engineers across ADAS to understand their diagnostic needs and implement platform level specifications to meet those needs utilizing a variety of diagnostic capabilities, including UDS functions and corporate tools and processes.
- Working cross-functionally, ensure the system design meets the necessary corporate diagnostic specifications and supports the needs of manufacturing and service teams.
- As part of the development process, follow requirements through validation, working closely with implementing and testing teams to ensure the requirements are met.
- During pre-production build phases and post-production, monitor system performance and propose improvements based on ongoing diagnostic performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
- 3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Utilizing industry-standard Model Based System Engineering tools to understand and develop the design of a system’s architecture. 2. Defining requirements dictating performance of an ADAS system, component or feature. 3. Performing failure mode analysis/FMEA on an ADAS system, component or feature. 4. Developing or signing off test plans to validate a system, component, or feature’s performance to defined requirements. 5. Root-causing ADAS performance issues during various phases of a system launch, including SIL, HIL or vehicle level testing.
- 2 years of experience with the following skill is required: 1. Optimizing system design through changes to hardware or decision-making logic to achieve improved performance to specifications.
- 1 year of experience with the following skill is required: 1. Analyzing vehicle or sensor data to identify system inefficiencies.
