About the role
- Lead overall design, validation, and launch of fuel system components, potentially including: fuel tank, fuel lines, fuel filler pipe, carbon canister and vapor components, etc.
- Manage system engineering and integration into the vehicle platform
- Lead milestone signoff reviews for related components to insure that all design requirements are met
- Support issue resolution including data collection and analysis to support root cause confirmation and corrective actions
- Manage component and system level validation testing to support engineering milestone signoffs
- Communicate status and issues to broad audience including senior management and program teams
Requirements
- BS in Engineering or a related field
- At least 2 years of design and release experience
- Proficiency in the usage of D&R tools such as WERS, Teamcenter, FEDE, Global 8D, DFMEA, DVP&R, PV, APQP Reviews, and AIMs
- Self-starter with excellent communication skills who can look ahead for the GPDS program deliverables, develop a workplan and drive the process both inside of Ford and with the supply base to meet the deliverables
- Strong problem solving skills for complex issues using a data-driven approach
- Familiarity with fuel system components, materials, and their manufacturing processes
- Strong organizational skills
