About the role
- Manage FNOS (Ford Network Operating Stack/Spec) integration with all tier 1 suppliers
- Perform compliance testing for network software stacks as well as network sleep and wake implementation and testing
- Directly responsible for testing and documenting compliance of tier 1 ECU (Electronic Control Unit) & Basic Software stack providers
- Design and develop automotive network communication objects, including but not limited to: Signals, Messaging, Network Management (Wake/Sleep of Networking), and interfaces.
- Development of software tools that support the automatic creation and validation of CAN DBC files, automation software for design reviews, and maintenance/refactoring of legacy tools
- Manage and perform maintenance on NetCom Core’s validation and hardware tools
- Administer tools to outside teams as needed
- Run daily agile meetings to deposition software, hardware, and system level work tasks
- Work with manufacturing plants to correctly configure VSCS (Vehicle Specific Configuration System) for all optional content for sale on Ford vehicles
Requirements
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation
- Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation
- 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Utilizing Python programming, including experience developing test automation framework and test suites for design review quality testing. 2. High Speed Interface Design. 3. Using AUTOSAR - Classic and AUTOSAR - Adaptive for embedded automotive software architecture. 4. Authoring and composing functional and test specifications related to Automotive network communication protocols. 5. Experience with the following scripting languages and tools: Shell, Git, Jira, and Object-oriented programming. 6. Collaborating with direct parts suppliers (including ECUs/Modules/Tires/Panels) and sub-suppliers (microchip/software stack providers) on complex issue resolution. 7. Using Jira to track project timelines, including experience collaborating and assigning tasks.
