About the role
- Develop 3D geometry and innovative designs concepts that solve challenging crash load cases while balancing construction, material, and manufacturing methods.
- Perform and understand tolerance analysis, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and other simulations and analyses before releasing designs for production.
- Develop, study, and implement novel construction techniques and materials then drive them to production feasibility
- Hands-on prototyping, testing & troubleshooting
Requirements
- Pursuit of a relevant Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- A GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
- Analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work from the Long Beach, CA campus.
- Must be able to dedicate 6 months for this engagement
- Candidates must graduate and be available for full-time work prior to September 2026
- Experience using 3D CAD software collaboratively
- Even better, you may have...
- Understand of polymers, manufacturing processes and mechanical properties.
- Experience using CAE software for mechanical analysis.
