About the role
- Provide leadership and management for the accounting department, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and internal controls.
- Oversee financial reporting, managing complex accounting functions, and developing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Work closely with external auditors, regulators and multiple organizations throughout Ford Credit supporting the Bank.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (master’s degree preferred).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a senior-level accounting position in the banking industry (audit experience in banking at a public accounting firm may be included).
- Minimum 7 years with regulatory safety and soundness examinations or similar experience.
- Strong understanding of bank regulatory reporting.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and strategic-thinking skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Broad knowledge of accounting principles and practices in banking.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
- Excellent computer skills.
