About the role

  • Provide leadership and management for the accounting department, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and internal controls.
  • Oversee financial reporting, managing complex accounting functions, and developing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Work closely with external auditors, regulators and multiple organizations throughout Ford Credit supporting the Bank.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (master’s degree preferred).
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a senior-level accounting position in the banking industry (audit experience in banking at a public accounting firm may be included).
  • Minimum 7 years with regulatory safety and soundness examinations or similar experience.
  • Strong understanding of bank regulatory reporting.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and strategic-thinking skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Broad knowledge of accounting principles and practices in banking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
  • Excellent computer skills.
