About the role
- Serve as the lead technical expert for the Enclosures domain. Provide deep-dive troubleshooting and guidance for complex "system-of-systems" issues involving the integration of mechanical structures, actuators, and software control logic.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Feature Assurance Engineers. Responsible for administrative tasks, performance reviews, career development, and fostering a culture of "Create Tomorrow" and "Solve Together."
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including Body Closures, Modules, Software Teams, Feature Systems Engineering, and V&V/VEV to ensure alignment on requirements and timing.
- Oversee the end-to-end assurance process for enclosure features across all Ford and Lincoln programs. Ensure robust DFMEAs, boundary diagrams, and test plans are executed to achieve perfect launches with zero defects.
- Lead high-priority triage efforts for enclosure-related defects. Use your deep technical knowledge to drive root-cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement in testing methodologies, including "negative" testing and automation (AI/ML), to optimize the feature development lifecycle

- 2+ years of experience leading technical teams or acting as a lead engineer with direct mentoring responsibilities.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues involving vehicle networking (CAN/LIN), electrical distribution, and software/hardware interfaces.
- Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Engineering, or Technical Management (preferred).
- Recognized expertise in Body Closures and Enclosure system architecture (preferred).
