About the role

Drive assessment and validation of manufacturing feasibility at identified supplier sites
Execute the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Quality Planning Process (APQP)
Use available data, metrics, and business plans to drive future sourcing decisions ensuring improved future quality
Implement commodity-specific business plans to ensure suppliers exceed launch, quality, capacity, warranty metrics, and vehicle delivery
Lead on-site troubleshooting and corrective actions for emergency supplier situations
Lead cross-functional decisions with Ford and supplier leadership to drive resolution of open issues
Implement actions to ensure zero vehicle losses from suppliers
Principal for on-site troubleshooting and corrective actions for emergency supplier situations
Lead adherence to Ford standards (e.g., Q1)
May be required to be onsite 4 or more days per week for candidates in commuting distance to a Ford hub location

Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical / manufacturing aptitude
5+ years’ experience in one or more manufacturing processes (Casting, Machining, Forging, Stamping, Welding, Plastic/Rubber Molding, Brazing, Sintering, Automated/Manual Assembly, Controls Automation programming, Paint, Chroming, SMC)
Ability to develop and present materials to leadership on short notice
Ability to lead resolution of manufacturing, quality, and/or capacity issues on-site with suppliers
Ability to travel in the US, Canada, and Mexico approximately 75% of the time

Bachelor of Science in Engineering (preferred)
Manufacturing, maintenance, and quality operations experience (preferred)
