About the role
- Drive Execution: Partner with stakeholders to define, scope, and deliver technical initiatives that span multiple teams within the Connected Vehicle organization.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Actively engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and help achieve alignment on prioritized features, product adoption and fixes.
- Metrics & Success: Assist in defining and tracking success criteria and performance metrics, including Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), to ensure program health.
- Roadmap Management: Execute on roadmaps, project plans, and schedules to ensure we meet customer commitments and product milestones.
- Agile Leadership: Support and drive modern software development practices, including scrums, backlog grooming, and dependency tracking using tools like Jira.
- Dependency Management: Coordinate with other divisions at Ford to ensure technical dependencies are identified early and quality standards are maintained.
- Customer Advocacy: Act as a voice for the customer within the engineering team, using data to help guide decision-making and prioritization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. Alternately; equivalent of 5 years’ experience in a similar program / project management role.
- 5–7 years of total working experience in program management, product or feature development involving hardware, software, or services.
- 3+ years of experience working in a technical capacity (e.g., as an engineer, developer, or systems analyst) or working very closely with an engineering team on complex software builds.
- Solid understanding of modern software development practices, with emphasis on Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and Agile methodologies.
- Proven experience coordinating cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product, Design, QA) through at least one full product lifecycle.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
