About the role
- Develop, maintain and verify brake based control algorithms written primarily in C-Hand code
- Develop requirements and design verification plans for motion control features and functions
- Perform software functional MIL/SIL testing, working closely with chassis controls analytical method test engineers to prove out functions
- Use simulation, unit testing and vehicle testing to verify algorithm updates, improvements and tuning strategies
- Collaborate with feature and system engineers to develop new SW functions to improve experiences for our customers
- Work with calibration teams to understand and tune control algorithms in vehicle
Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or a related degree (including foreign equivalency degree), or a combination of equivalent experience and education.
- 3+ years of experience with controls systems work in embedded software on a complex mechatronic system
- MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or a related degree
- Understanding of, or an interest in learning, C-coding standards, best practices, and software development
- A strong background in vehicle dynamics
- Experience with vehicle limit handing and driving practices
- Embedded automotive SW development experience in a motion controls area
- Familiarity with ISO-26262
- Familiarity with developing SW in an AutoSAR module (classic preferred)
- Experience developing software requirements and/or software test cases
- Experience working in a SAFE/Agile structure.
