About the role

  • Lead the platform system design, development and analysis of the next iteration of ADAS electronics control unit (ECU) including the integration of hardware, software and sensor technologies enabling the deployment of ADAS features such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Collision Avoidance, Parking Assistance, and more.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to cross-functional teams (hardware, software, and system engineers) in the development, failure mode analysis, integration, and optimization of ADAS solutions using model-based systems engineering (MBSE) methodologies.
  • Translate high-level product vision and customer insights into detailed system-level ECU requirements and technical specifications for the entire ADAS foundational ecosystem.
  • Lead the development and cascade of Platform System logical and technology requirements to the hardware and software elements including the complete requirement traceability.
  • Lead the development of the Platform System analysis including all interfaces, failure mode analysis and corresponding robustness actions.
  • Lead technical design reviews for ADAS platform system development.
  • Oversee the integration of ADAS components and ensure they meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards. Design testing methods and protocols, both virtual and physical, to validate system performance in real-world conditions.
  • Lead the end-to-end system engineering lifecycle for advanced driver assistance systems, across all abstraction levels including architectural definition through detailed design, integration, and optimization.
  • Guide and mentor engineers in defining, analyzing, and maintaining comprehensive system, subsystem, and component-level requirements for the ADAS ECU/system.
  • Drive collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers to develop, negotiate, and communicate robust technical requirements and design specifications.
  • Oversee the development and integration of ADAS Platform System DFMEAs (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and other reliability analyses, driving the implementation of mitigation strategies to manage severity and occurrence across the system in Magic Draw.
  • Act as a primary technical interface and lead cross-functional problem-solving and integration initiatives across HW component Design & Release teams, Architecture, and Software teams to achieve holistic system-level performance, efficiency, and safety objectives.
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in ADAS technologies and automotive safety standards. Conduct research to explore new opportunities for system enhancements and innovations.
  • Work closely with in-house design teams, suppliers and external partners to evaluate, and integrate third-party components and software for ADAS systems.
  • Ensure that all ADAS technologies comply with industry safety standards, regulatory requirements, and global certifications (e.g., ISO, Euro NCAP, SAE).
  • Act as a primary technical interface and lead cross-functional problem-solving and integration initiatives across HW component Design & Release teams, Architecture, and Software teams to achieve holistic system-level performance, efficiency, and safety objectives.
  • Apply advanced principles of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Data Analysis & Visualization, Risk Analysis, Feature Prioritization, FMEA, and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize system performance and KOL reliability.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to manufacturing in support of vehicle builds to resolve complex issues related to ADAS functionalities and performance.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for design, testing, and validation processes. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and resolutions.
